A quiet night in Plateau State reportedly turned into a nightmare after a heated confrontation between two residents ended in tragedy, leaving one man dead and another in military custody.
According to reports, troops under the special security operation in Plateau swiftly moved into action following a deadly clash that reportedly happened in the early hours of Friday, May 23, in Bomo village, located in Bassa Local Government Area.
Sources revealed that the disturbing incident unfolded around 2 a.m. when two men, identified as Sani Haruna and Bashiru Saidu, allegedly became involved in a violent disagreement that quickly spiraled out of control.
Eyewitness accounts suggest the confrontation turned bloody after one of the men reportedly sustained severe stab wounds during the altercation. Security operatives who rushed to the scene discovered the victim in critical condition and immediately arranged for him to be taken to a medical facility in Miango for urgent treatment.
Sadly, despite efforts to save his life, medical personnel later confirmed that the victim did not survive.
