
after heavily armed gunmen reportedly invaded the home of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yauri Local Government Area, Yusuf Alhasan, and abducted two members of his family.
According to reports, the attackers struck at about midnight on Monday, breaking into Alhasan’s residence in the Low-Cost area of Yauri before whisking away his wife and son to an unknown destination.
The shocking incident was first made public by security analyst and conflict reporter Bakatsine in a post shared on X.
As of the time this report was filed, neither the Kebbi State Government nor security agencies had released an official statement on the abduction, leaving residents anxious over the fate of the victims.
The latest kidnapping has further raised fears over the worsening security situation in parts of Kebbi State, where communities have continued to grapple with recurring cases of bandit attacks and abductions.
Search efforts are expected to continue as family members and residents hope for the safe return of the kidnapped wife and son. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
