Meet Chisom, a young mother whose life has reportedly taken a devastating turn amid her battle with drug addiction and the harsh realities of life.
During a recent interview, Chisom broke down in tears as she opened up about her struggles, admitting that she is deeply involved in drug use and no longer understands what is happening to her. She said her condition has become so severe that people sometimes mistake her for someone living with a serious mental illness.
But behind the pain is a woman desperately crying out for help.
Chisom is reportedly the only daughter of her father, Christian. Her mother passed away in 2013, after which her father remarried and went on to have other children.
Today, Chisom is a mother of two children from different fathers and is reportedly struggling to provide for them on her own. She sells sachet water under the scorching sun to survive and feed her children.
She also revealed that she had travelled to several African countries, including Senegal, Mali and Morocco, where she reportedly became involved in prostitution in an attempt to survive.
Her struggles reportedly became even worse when, while hustling in traffic one day, her ATM card was allegedly stolen. She said she went to the police station to report the incident but was advised to immediately contact her bank to block the card.
Chisom’s story is a painful reminder of how addiction, poverty, peer pressure and difficult circumstances can combine to destroy lives and derail promising futures.
Drug addiction is not a lifestyle to glorify. It is a serious problem that can affect a person’s health, relationships, finances and ability to make sound decisions.
