Nollywood actress Ashabi has fired back at a fan who advised her to keep her new relationship away from social media.

The actress recently sparked curiosity online after sharing photos and videos from what appeared to be a date with a mystery man.

Although Ashabi deliberately kept the man’s identity private, eagle-eyed followers noticed a man dressed in white in the background of some of the photos.

Describing the outing, Ashabi revealed that she went on a date with a stranger and enjoyed the experience. According to her, sometimes people simply need to step out, breathe, laugh and enjoy the moment without overthinking things.

However, a fan advised her to keep her relationship off social media, insisting that there is “no real love” anymore.

“Keep this off social media. No real love,” the fan wrote.

Ashabi, however, appeared unfazed by the advice, clarifying that she was simply enjoying a casual date. She jokingly told anyone who wasn’t happy about it to go and eat bitter leaf.

“Casual date. Person wey no happy make e go chop bitter leaf,” she replied.

The actress’ latest post comes months after her highly publicised relationship drama with singer Portable, with whom she shares a child.

Ashabi had previously spoken about their relationship, describing Portable as a narcissist and someone whose next move can be difficult to predict.

She also alleged during an interview that Portable took advantage of her when she was younger, although she acknowledged that he was once a caring person.

The former couple have also had several public clashes, with both sides previously making serious allegations about incidents involving their families.
