Nollywood actor Kunle Afod has once again touched hearts with his kind gesture towards the family of the late singer Saint Janet.

The actor recently visited the children of the deceased to sympathise with them following the loss of their mother.

In a video shared online, Afod was seen spending time with the bereaved family, offering words of comfort and support. He also gifted the children money as he encouraged them to stay strong during the difficult period.

Speaking about the visit, the actor acknowledged how painful it is to lose a loved one, noting that nobody wishes for such a loss.

He said that although death is painful, it is something everyone must eventually accept when it comes.

Afod prayed for God to comfort Saint Janet’s family, strengthen her children and give them the courage to cope with the loss.

He wrote:

“We never pray to lose our loved ones, but when death comes, there is nothing we can do but accept the will of God.”

He added:

“A great soul has gone, and her absence will surely be deeply felt. May God comfort the family, strengthen the children, and grant them the grace to bear this irreplaceable loss.”

He concluded by praying for the late singer’s soul to continue resting in peace.

Afod’s support for Nollywood veterans

Kunle Afod has over the years earned praise for consistently showing support to veteran actors and other elderly members of the entertainment industry.

Last year, he reportedly raised more than N600,000 for veteran actor Baba Ariyo after visiting him at his home and sharing footage highlighting his difficult living conditions.

The actor has also paid condolence visits to bereaved families within the industry, including the family of veteran actor Pa Tunbosun Odunsi following the death of his wife.

Afod has previously explained that supporting veterans is something he genuinely enjoys because he believes everyone will eventually grow old and need support.

According to him, the assistance he provides is also part of the legacy he hopes to leave for younger generations in the Nigerian film industry.
