“They don’t represent us!” – Israel DMW takes swipe at Okpebholo after Adeleke’s Osun victory

Talent manager Israel DMW has reignited his criticism of Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo following the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Shortly after Adeleke was declared the winner of the 2026 Osun governorship election, Israel took to social media to congratulate him while directing a harsh message at the Edo governor.

In his post, Israel described Okpebholo in insulting terms and stressed that he does not believe the governor represents the people of Edo State.

He wrote:

“Congratulations to Senator Ademola Adeleke. Shame to purely stark illiterates from Edo State. They do not represent who we are in Edo.”

Israel DMW and Okpebholo’s ongoing clash

Israel’s latest comment comes amid a long-running war of words involving the talent manager, Davido and Governor Okpebholo.

Davido had previously responded after Okpebholo mocked his uncle over his dancing during the election campaign.

The singer defended Adeleke and questioned why the governor would criticise his dancing, even sharing his WAEC result during the exchange.

Davido later took another swipe at Okpebholo following comments the governor made about his meeting with APC leaders in Edo State.

Israel has also repeatedly criticised the Edo governor, including previously calling for his resignation over his handling of the state.

Adeleke’s victory sparks celebrations

Meanwhile, Adeleke’s re-election has triggered celebrations among his supporters and family members.

Davido, who actively campaigned for his uncle, was visibly emotional after the result was announced. In a video shared online, the singer dropped to his knees while celebrating the victory.

He captioned the moment:

“We did it, uncle!!”

Israel DMW’s latest reaction has now added another layer to the political exchanges between supporters of Adeleke and critics of the Edo governor.
