In a touching video making the rounds online, the governor could be seen speaking with Davido over the phone while visibly overwhelmed with emotion.

Davido had been actively supporting his uncle throughout the election period and repeatedly defended him amid criticism and attacks from his opponents.
Following Adeleke’s victory, the singer placed a congratulatory call to the governor.
The emotional moment appeared to get the better of Adeleke as he broke down in tears of joy while speaking with his nephew.
In the midst of the emotional exchange, the governor asked Davido to come and give him a hug.
The heartwarming moment has since attracted reactions from fans, with many touched by the close bond between the governor and his famous nephew.
Adeleke was declared the winner of the Osun governorship election after securing victory across 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, extending his tenure as governor.
