Alleged private WhatsApp conversations between former BBNaija stars Bella Okagbue and Sheggz’s mother have surfaced online, adding another twist to the controversy surrounding the former couple’s relationship.
The alleged chats, said to date back to October 2023, reportedly contain Bella’s complaints about an ₦11 million debt she claimed Sheggz owed her.
Bella allegedly complains about ₦11m debt
In one of the purported conversations, Bella allegedly told Sheggz’s mother that she was struggling to recover the money.
She reportedly claimed that whenever she reminded Sheggz about the alleged debt, it often resulted in an argument.
“It’s too bad that whenever I remind Segun about the #11,000,000 he owes me, he fights me.”
Bella allegedly explained that she had been patient for months but was becoming increasingly worried about her finances, including her rent and other personal expenses.
‘I’m scared to even remind him’
According to the alleged messages, Bella also claimed that discussing money with Sheggz had become difficult because she feared it would lead to another confrontation.
“I’m scared to even remind him about my money cause I know it will cause fight.”
She reportedly added that she could not simply forget about the money because of her financial responsibilities.
The alleged conversation also referenced an incident involving a birthday gift for a friend, with Bella claiming that Sheggz had offered to assist with the payment but later became upset when she reminded him.
Sheggz’s mum allegedly responds
Another portion of the purported chat allegedly shows Bella discussing relationship problems with Sheggz’s mother.
Bella reportedly claimed that Sheggz would stop her from leaving whenever she threatened to end the relationship.
Sheggz’s mother allegedly advised her to remain calm and also mentioned that she and her son were not communicating at the time.
The alleged exchange also referenced a video by someone identified as Gbemi, which Sheggz’s mother reportedly believed had added to the tension surrounding the situation.
Chats resurface amid breakup controversy
The alleged conversations have resurfaced as Bella and Sheggz remain at the centre of a highly publicised relationship crisis.
The former BBNaija couple have recently exchanged claims about their relationship, while friends and fellow reality stars have also weighed in.
However, the authenticity and context of the alleged private chats have not been independently verified, and neither Bella nor Sheggz has been established to have confirmed the screenshots as genuine.
The latest development has nevertheless sparked fresh reactions online, with social media users debating the alleged debt and the circumstances surrounding the couple’s relationship.
