“EXPOSED! Serving Soldiers and Police Officers Allegedly Lead Multi-Million Gold Robbery Ring in Ghana”

A major scandal has rocked Ghana after several serving military and police officers were allegedly caught up in a sophisticated gold robbery syndicate that operated like something straight out of a Hollywood crime thriller.

According to reports, the Ghana Police Service has arrested seven suspects linked to a string of daring robberies carried out across different parts of the country. The gang allegedly disguised themselves as military personnel and CID officers to deceive and rob unsuspecting gold investors.

The shocking case came to light after an Ivorian businessman, Mousa Bamba, reported that he had been invited to Dzorwulu, Accra, for what was supposed to be a lucrative gold transaction. Bamba claimed he was expecting to purchase six kilograms of gold worth a staggering $450,000.

However, upon arriving at the agreed location, his business dream reportedly turned into a nightmare. Armed men allegedly posing as security operatives swooped in, held him at gunpoint, seized his valuables, and disappeared without a trace.

Investigators quickly swung into action, leading to the arrest of key suspects, including Mohammed Umaro, popularly known as Alhaji, and Gabriel Sewornu. As the investigation deepened, authorities reportedly uncovered the involvement of two serving military officers and three active police personnel.

The military suspects were identified as Lance Corporal Eugene Akurugu and Lance Corporal Emmanuel Arko, while the police officers named in the case are Inspector Richmond Osei, Corporal Gideon Anor, and Lance Corporal Felix Deku Tetteyga. The police officers have since been interdicted while investigations continue.

Authorities believe the alleged syndicate may be connected to several other robbery operations carried out in Tema, Kumasi, Takoradi, Anyinam, and other locations. Victims reportedly lost large sums of cash, gold, and even mercury during these operations.

In a fresh breakthrough, intelligence-led raids conducted on May 23 and 24, 2026, reportedly resulted in the arrest of additional suspects, including Justin Oduro, also known by the nicknames “Don King” and “Mafia,” along with Clement Gyasi and Farouk Zakari.

All suspects remain in custody as investigators work to unravel the full extent of the operation. Meanwhile, security agencies are intensifying efforts to track down other alleged members of the gang who are still on the run.

The developing scandal has sparked intense reactions online, with many Ghanaians expressing disbelief that individuals entrusted with protecting citizens could allegedly be linked to such a high-profile criminal enterprise.

As the investigation unfolds, many are waiting to see what other secrets this explosive case may reveal.
