CAUGHT IN THE ACT! Suspected Arms Smuggler Busted With Deadly Ammo Hidden in Millet Sack — Security Forces Uncover Chilling Terror Plot!

In a dramatic security breakthrough, troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have intercepted a suspected arms trafficker allegedly transporting a massive cache of ammunition concealed inside a sack of millet destined for terrorist elements in the North-West.

The stunning operation unfolded on June 5, 2026, when vigilant soldiers attached to Sector 2 of the Joint Task Force (North West) mounted a checkpoint along the Kaura axis and stopped a civilian vehicle heading toward Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

What initially appeared to be an ordinary journey quickly turned into a major security discovery. During a thorough search of the vehicle, troops uncovered a locally made pistol, a magazine, and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition cleverly hidden among food items to avoid detection.

According to a statement issued by Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the Media Information Officer of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, investigations revealed that the recovered weapons and ammunition were allegedly being transported by a 42-year-old suspect identified as Mustapha Abubakar.

Security sources believe the suspect plays a key role in the illegal movement of arms and ammunition to terrorist groups operating across the region. Preliminary findings suggest he was on a mission to deliver the deadly cargo to another accomplice before his plans were abruptly foiled by the troops.

In a related development, the military also recorded success in its ongoing campaign against criminal activities by disrupting cattle rustling operations in parts of the North-East, further tightening the noose on armed groups and their support networks.

The latest interception highlights the relentless efforts of security forces to cut off the supply chains fueling terrorism, banditry, and other violent crimes threatening communities across northern Nigeria.

As investigations continue, authorities are expected to intensify efforts to identify other members of the suspected network and uncover the full extent of the operation.
