“SHOCKER IN EDO! Mother Wakes From Coma, Baby Vanishes Without a Trace as Police Arrest Hospital Workers”

A shocking incident has thrown a private hospital in Edo State into the spotlight after a newborn baby reportedly disappeared under mysterious circumstances, prompting police to arrest several hospital workers for questioning.

The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of some staff members of the private medical facility as investigations intensify into the baffling disappearance of the infant.

Police spokesperson, ASP Eno Ikoedem, disclosed that the arrested health workers are assisting investigators as authorities work to unravel exactly what happened to the missing baby.

According to the police, Commissioner of Police Monday Agbonika has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Police Headquarters to ensure a thorough and comprehensive investigation.

The incident reportedly occurred at a private hospital located on Omouwadiae Street, off Upper Sakponba Road, in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.

Sources revealed that the baby’s mother allegedly slipped into a postpartum coma shortly after successfully giving birth. However, the situation took a disturbing turn when she regained consciousness and asked to see her newborn.

To her shock, the hospital staff allegedly failed to produce the baby.

The mother’s desperate demand to see her child reportedly sparked confusion within the hospital, and when the newborn could not be accounted for, an alarm was immediately raised.

A source familiar with the incident said the matter was swiftly reported to the police, triggering an investigation into the mysterious disappearance.

Meanwhile, efforts to obtain a response from the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, identified as Okungbowa, as well as the matron who was reportedly on duty during the incident, were unsuccessful. The hospital management had also not issued any official statement at the time this report was filed.

Police say investigations are ongoing, and authorities are determined to uncover the truth behind the alarming case that has left many residents demanding answers.
