“SHOCKER! Viral Video Lands Six Police Officers in Serious Trouble After Alleged Brutal Assault on Young Man in Imo”

A shocking viral video showing the alleged brutal assault of a young man in Imo State has sparked widespread outrage, forcing the Nigeria Police to take swift action against six of its officers.

The disturbing incident reportedly occurred at Nduhobokwe, Uzoagba, in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State. Following public backlash over the footage circulating across social media platforms, the Imo State Police Command announced that it has launched a full-scale investigation into the alleged misconduct.

According to the police, the officers identified in the video are Inspector Ugochukwu Ibe, Inspector Nwachi Chimezie, Sergeant Ugoezuhu Austin, Corporal Michael Obi, Corporal Ebuka Onwuegbu, and Corporal Amos Sunny.

Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Garba Bosso, ordered an immediate and comprehensive investigation to uncover exactly what transpired and determine the level of responsibility of each officer involved.

The command confirmed that all six officers have been taken into custody while disciplinary proceedings have already commenced in line with the regulations of the Nigeria Police Force.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, the command stressed that the officers’ actions, as captured in the viral video, fall far below the ethical standards, professionalism, and core values expected of members of the Nigeria Police Force.

The police further reaffirmed their zero-tolerance policy against misconduct, abuse of power, and violations of citizens’ rights, assuring Nigerians that the investigation would be transparent, thorough, and impartial.

Authorities also promised that the outcome of both the investigation and disciplinary process will be made public once concluded, as many Nigerians continue to demand accountability over the disturbing incident.
