Makeover artiste Adewunmi Fatai has expressed deep appreciation to her friends and colleagues for giving her an unforgettable birthday celebration and surprise engagement.

The beauty artiste recently enjoyed a double celebration after her colleagues organised a surprise birthday party for her, where her actor lover, Abdul Malik Bashiru, also proposed to her.

Sharing a video from the memorable event, Adewunmi admitted that she was completely caught off guard by both surprises.

She revealed that she had initially become upset with some of her close friends because they failed to wish her publicly or send her birthday messages, not knowing that they were secretly planning something special for her.

According to her, she even wondered if everyone was suddenly angry with her because she received no calls, messages or gifts from some members of her inner circle.

Adewunmi expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed financially and otherwise to make the celebration possible, noting that the country is currently difficult for many people.

She also prayed for her friends and colleagues, asking God to bless them, replenish their pockets and grant their heart desires.

“You all got me with BOTH the birthday surprise and the proposal surprise! I’m still shocked till now o! I honestly never saw any of it coming. As smart as I think I am, omo, mo fo o!

“I was even mad at some people because most of my inner circle didn’t wish me Happy Birthday, no message, no call, no birthday gift as usual. In my head, I was like, ‘Okay, so everybody is fighting me now?’

“I didn’t know you all were planning something BIG behind my back!

“Yes, the country is hard, and I know everyone is struggling. However, you all still came together, contributed money and put everything together to give me a special and unforgettable birthday and proposal surprise.

“Honestly, words cannot express how grateful and loved I feel.

“May God continue to bless every single one of you, replenish your pockets, answer your prayers and give you reasons to celebrate too.

“I am SOOOO grateful. Thank you for making me feel this loved and special.
