Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha has introduced his wife, Luminee, to veteran Fuji musician K1 De Ultimate during a recent outing.

The actor and his wife attended an event where the Fuji star was performing, and a video from the occasion has surfaced online.

In the clip, Baba Ijesha was seen holding his wife as he approached K1 De Ultimate. After exchanging pleasantries, the singer appeared to ask if the woman beside him was his wife.

Baba Ijesha responded in the affirmative before the couple continued with their interaction.

The moment has generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users questioning the attention the actor continues to receive following his previous legal troubles.

Some commenters criticised the decision to publicly celebrate him, while others argued that he has served his sentence and should be allowed to move forward with his life.

One social media user wrote, “In a sane country, this man shouldn’t be anywhere in front of a phone being recorded.”

Another commented, “Nigeria is the only country where people who do wrong are being celebrated.”

Baba Ijesha’s new chapter

The actor has continued to share moments from his new life since his release from prison.

Last month, Baba Ijesha and his wife reportedly visited the Ooni of Ife, who welcomed them to the palace. Reports about the visit initially claimed that the monarch had honoured the actor with a chieftaincy title and a new car, although the palace later clarified that it could not confirm the claim about the title.

Baba Ijesha also previously revealed that he had started a new chapter of his life after announcing his marriage to Luminee and the arrival of their son.

In an interview, the actor spoke about the allegations that led to his imprisonment, maintaining that he was neither a paedophile nor a rapist.

Baba Ijesha was convicted in 2022 and sentenced to five years in prison over the sexual assault of a minor. He was released in November 2025 after spending more than three years in custody.

His latest public appearance with his wife has once again reignited discussions about his return to public life.
