Nollywood actor Afeez Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, has shared his experience working with actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele.

Speaking during a recent interview, the actor praised Akindele for her professionalism and revealed that she treated him well while working together.

Saka addressed claims that Funke is a strict person, explaining that he actually appreciates that quality because handling a multimillion-naira production requires discipline and seriousness.

According to him, Funke is humble and does not tolerate nonsense on set. He also dismissed the idea that she has a bad temper, noting that she has no problem with anyone who does what is expected of them.

He explained that the filmmaker does not joke when it comes to work and expects everyone around her to remain focused. However, when it is time to relax and have fun, she can be playful.

Saka further advised lazy people to stay away from working with Funke, stressing that the filmmaker does not tolerate laziness.

Meanwhile, other actors have also spoken positively about their experiences working with the filmmaker.

Singer Falz previously described Funke as one of the hardest-working entertainers he has encountered. He recalled how she contacted him to feature in Jenifa’s Diary and said the experience was enjoyable.

Actress Mercy Johnson also praised her experience working with Funke on Battle on Buka Street, describing collaborations with her as a plus.

Actor Monsuru Ayanfe, however, previously shared a different experience, recalling how Funke reacted after he crashed her car. He described her as someone who could get angry but would apologise once she had calmed down.

Veteran actress Tola Oladokun has also credited Funke with helping her career after giving her another opportunity to work with her following an earlier missed opportunity.

Actor Ijoba Lande had previously spoken about working on one of Funke’s productions, claiming he spent a month at Amen Estate and was paid N90,000. He later apologised to the filmmaker, saying his earlier comments had been taken out of context and that Funke paid him more before he left the location.
