Nollywood actress and Osun State government appointee Laide Bakare has joined the celebrations following Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the state’s governorship election.
The actress took to social media to express her excitement, describing the outcome as a victory that came “against all odds.”
Laide Bakare hails Adeleke
Celebrating the governor, Laide described Adeleke as a leader and father to the people while congratulating him on securing another term in office.
She said the victory was more than a political achievement, describing it as a moment that demonstrated the power of faith and prayer.
In her words:
“YES!!! WE WON!!! What a day! What a victory! What a testimony!”
Laide thanked God for what she described as a successful outcome, insisting that what God has ordained cannot be overturned by anyone.
She also thanked supporters who stood with Adeleke throughout the campaign and election period, particularly those who prayed and remained committed despite the uncertainty surrounding the contest.
“The people have spoken”
The actress urged supporters to celebrate the victory with humility, love and gratitude.
She wrote:
“Today, we celebrate not just a political victory, but a moment that reminds us that God answers prayers and vindicates His own.”
Laide concluded her message with “IMOLE TILL 2030,” while celebrating Adeleke and thanking everyone who contributed to the victory.
The actress has been openly supportive of the governor and currently serves as his Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Art, Culture and Tourism, an appointment she described as the beginning of her journey into politics.
