Veteran Nollywood actor Kunle Omisore has opened up about his experience following the breakdown of his marriage, speaking candidly about loneliness, fatherhood, healing and life after divorce.
The veteran Yoruba actor shared his experience during an interview with African A-List, where he reflected on some of the difficult realities he has faced since his marriage ended.

According to the actor, recovering emotionally from divorce is not easy, noting that he believes healing ultimately comes from God.
Kunle explained that although he has chosen not to remain bitter about what happened, the experience has become part of his life.
He said:
“It’s difficult; it’s only God who can heal a divorcee. I am not holding on to the hurt; it’s just going to be a part of you.”
The actor also opened up about experiencing loneliness despite having women around him.
He stressed that having women who can keep a person company is completely different from having a wife who provides emotional companionship and support.
“I will park outside so my children wouldn’t know”
Kunle revealed that there are moments when he returns home troubled but has nobody to help calm him down.
Rather than allow his children to notice his emotional state, he said he sometimes remains inside his car for a while before entering the house.
“You’ll feel lonely in the house; it’s not like you don’t have a woman who can satisfy you, but that is different from having a wife.”
He added:
“I will get home, I will park outside for a while, and wind down, so those children wouldn’t know something is wrong with me.”
“I didn’t suffer a failed marriage”
Despite the pain associated with the end of his marriage, Kunle said he does not consider the union a complete failure because it produced what he described as “glorious children.”
The actor also revealed that his hope for the next decade is to return to Europe, live a quieter life and raise his children according to his values.
“In the next ten years, I want to go back to Europe, live a quiet life and raise my children in the way of the Lord.”
Kunle’s revelation adds to a growing number of Nigerian entertainers who have publicly shared their experiences with divorce, broken relationships and the emotional challenges that can follow the end of a marriage.
