Nigerian content creator Peller has expressed frustration over what he described as an attempt to get him into trouble with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following his wedding to TikToker Jarvis.

The skit maker recounted how someone allegedly reported him to the EFCC after guests sprayed money during his wedding celebration.

Peller recalls EFCC invitation

According to Peller, an individual tagged the anti-graft agency online and called for an investigation into the money sprayed at the event.

He said:

“That time I did wedding, that was how one idiot tagged EFCC that they should investigate me that people threw money on the floor during the event.”

Peller revealed that the EFCC subsequently invited him for questioning, prompting him to appear before the agency to explain the circumstances surrounding the money spraying.

‘What saved me’

The content creator said he believes his repeated attempts to stop guests from throwing money on the ground helped his case.

According to him, EFCC officials had reviewed footage from the ceremony and noticed that he had cautioned people against the practice.

“They said what saved me was because they saw the way I was cautioning everybody not to throw money on the ground.”

Peller also praised the officials for what he described as their reasonable handling of the matter.

“If not that EFCC people are wise, they are good people, and they also have sense.”

Peller questions why people report others

The incident prompted Peller to question why some people allegedly spend time looking for ways to create problems for others instead of concentrating on their own lives.

He urged people to focus on building their own wealth rather than attempting to bring down those who have achieved financial success.

His comments have since generated reactions online, with the discussion also drawing attention to the legal and social issues surrounding money spraying at Nigerian celebrations.
