A shocking twist has emerged in the alleged kidnapping of a soldier in Lagos, after a man identified as Wasiu Oloyede was reportedly arrested while wearing the victim’s oversized military uniform.
According to the report, Wasiu and members of his gang allegedly kidnapped the soldier on Friday in the Alagbado area of Lagos, before taking him to their hideout and stripping him of his uniform.
But what happened next reportedly left many stunned!
By Sunday, Wasiu allegedly put on the soldier’s uniform and stepped out, apparently hoping to use the disguise to carry out another operation. However, his alleged plan reportedly came crashing down when police officers arrested him around the Odo Pako area of Ota, Ogun State.
Reports further indicate that the gang allegedly took the soldier’s identity card, ATM cards and mobile phone before he eventually escaped from their custody.
In another dramatic twist, Wasiu reportedly attempted to snatch a Dane gun from a vigilante member while still dressed in the military uniform—but the alleged attempt failed, leading to his arrest.
The incident has sparked reactions online, with many people expressing shock over the alleged use of a stolen military uniform as a disguise.
