Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has once again demonstrated his generosity after surprising his former record label signee, Mayorkun, with a brand-new Cybertruck.
The award-winning singer announced the lavish gift through his Instagram Story, where he instructed the automobile company to ensure the luxury vehicle was delivered the following day.
Sharing the exciting update, Davido expressed his affection for Mayorkun with a heartfelt message.
“My gift to you. I love you. Please have it delivered tomorrow,” he wrote.
Overwhelmed by the thoughtful gesture, Mayorkun wasted no time responding. The singer reposted Davido’s message and replied with a short but emotional note, reaffirming his loyalty and appreciation.
“Love 4L, 001,” Mayorkun wrote.
The touching exchange has warmed the hearts of fans, with many praising the strong bond the two musicians have maintained despite Mayorkun’s exit from Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
Earlier this year, Mayorkun’s mother, Toyosi Adewale, reflected on her son’s relationship with Davido. She revealed that she became emotional the first time she saw them working together and described Davido and his team as respectful and welcoming when they first met.
Mayorkun’s rise to stardom began in 2016 after Davido discovered him through a viral Instagram video and signed him to DMW. Shortly after joining the label, he released his breakout hit “Eleko,” which quickly became a nationwide success and established him as one of Nigeria’s brightest new stars.
