What started as an ordinary night quickly turned into a nightmare in Yankamaye community, Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State, when heavily armed attackers reportedly stormed the area under the cover of darkness, firing gunshots and throwing the entire village into chaos.
Eyewitnesses say the terrifying invasion happened suddenly on Monday night, catching residents completely off guard. Panic spread like wildfire as frightened families abandoned their homes, running for safety while gunfire echoed through the community.
The bloody assault reportedly claimed the lives of three residents, while several others sustained injuries during the violent attack.
Confirming the heartbreaking incident, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ghari and Tsanyawa Federal Constituency, Sani Bala, revealed in an online statement that security concerns in the area are becoming increasingly alarming.
“As of the latest update, three people have been confirmed dead,” the lawmaker disclosed, expressing deep concern over the worsening insecurity troubling the community.

According to him, the gunmen entered the area and began shooting nonstop, sending fear across the entire community as helpless residents desperately searched for safety.
Another local resident, Madahuru Isah Ibrahim, revealed that several injured victims were immediately rushed to the hospital for urgent medical treatment following the horrifying incident.
